What to do?

Pretty scraps of fabric that are to small to sew together. Yes... I have a hard time throwing them away...I get that from my mother, Ms. Judy. What to do? What to do?

Crown Royal Quilt

Let's begin by saying, I thought I had an original idea. Todd's happy hour drink of choice is Crown Royal with ginger ale. In the last 5 years he has kept every bag....why....I have no idea. So I said to myself...hey take the bags and make a quilt out of them...that's original.... apparently not. Go to any browser and look up Crown Royal Quilts...there are tons. Here is the fabric I'm working with for Todd's quilt. He is a hunter so I HAD to throw in some purple camo....just a little... teehee.

Had a GREAT Memorial Day Weekend!! On Saturday went fishing with Todd at 11 mile.

Procrastination

Poor Frank....he's not very happy with me right now....I'm having a hard time getting motivated. My sister came down last weekend to help me start on a wedding quilt for my son jimmy and samantha. I'ts going to be a beautiful batik quilt...if I ever get around to sewing my part....here's an idea....shlep blocks off to your family members and ask them to participate...works for me!!!! Having more than one quilter in the family is a blessing!!!! Thank you Aunt Pam!!!

Let's face it, I am a frugal/thrifty shopper and I enjoy purchasing things that have a dual purpose. Let me present the newest addition to my sewing room!!!! And the best part it was $5 at a garage sale. This cabinet has a roll top table inside that can pull out to 6 feet!!! It will come in handy when I'm quilting that quilt, right girls!!! Did I mention it was only 5 dollars!!!

New beginnings!!!

Hello blogging friends!! I've missed you..... I have been gone quite along time, but I have returned. Alot can happen to a person in two years. I got divorced, lost my sweet little daddy (LOVE YOU MR. PAUL), took my dream trip to Sydney, Australia (totally awesome), started dating (EW), got a boyfriend (hate that word, what am I 12) but he is my best friend from high school.... so I act 16 (LOVE YOU TODD), got a great new job in my home town and moved there with my youngest son (21) in tow. Man, am I tired.....but deliriously HAPPY!!

Moving to a new home April 1st and excited to set up my new quilting studio in the basement of the house. I once called it the crap room but new life deserves new name. Looking forward to showing you before and after pic's and then getting my sister's over there to start cranking out quilts and cute things to share with all of you....Come back and visit me now and then!!!
